Salman Khan has always come forward to help the needy at the time of crisis. He has transferred funds into the accounts of daily wage workers of the film industry, provided truck full of food supplies for COVID-19 relief, donated hand sanitizers to Mumbai Police and also donated money to Covid-19 relief funds.

Now, the superstar has begun a food donation drive to help artistes and technicians of the theatre community. As per a report in Mid-day, he started the food donation drive with Yuva Sena leader Rahul N Kanal by sending his two food trucks, Being Haangryy, to the Damodar Natyagruha in Parel and Shri Shivaji Mandir Natyagruha in Dadar.

Rahul N Kanal who is coordinating the drive on behalf of Khan, along with Shiv Sena corporator Amey Ghole, said, “We started the initiative when we heard about the plight of the artistes and technicians of Shri Shivaji Mandir Natyagruha. I reached out to Salman bhai who immediately agreed to help us. Each ration kit contains five kilos of rice and wheat flour, vegetables, oil, salt, spices and tea powder. We reached out to 186 workers on the first day and hope to extend help to other theatre artistes through them. We are practising safety measures while distributing the kits.”

Apart from donations, Salman is also entertaining his fans. He had released three video songs. The first song was on the Coronavirus pandemic-‘Pyaar Karona’, then came a romantic track ‘Tere Bina’ with Jacqueline Fernandez. The latest release was ‘Bhai Bhai’ that was released on the occasion of Eid as an Eidi to his fans.
