Salman Khan

Like every year, this Eid too the box office will belong to Salman Khan as his upcoming movie ‘Tubelight’ will release on the festive occasion. But, if you thought the ticket prices for his movies are way too high, then you are mistaken. The actor thinks about his audience and prefers to have normal ticket prices for his films. When ‘Jai Ho’ released in 2014, the actor had slashed the ticket prices which resulted in less box office numbers for the movie. So now, as he is all geared up for ‘Tubelight’, he has decided to not interfere or ask the makers to reduce the ticket prices.

He also explains it logically by saying, “In the case of ‘Jai Ho’ we had cut down the prices, our prices were Rs 250 than the usual Rs 600-900. We ourselves had forgotten that we have reduced the prices of our films and we were wondering why the response was low at the box office collection. When people started calling it flop and disaster is when we realised we had actually reduced the ticket prices of our films for the fans to watch. If one wants to create the record at the box office then do that by reducing the ticket prices why increase it and make money.” (Also Read: Salman Khan called Rohit Roy ‘a fat cow’. He further added, “I have realised that during Jai Ho that under any circumstances, I shouldn’t interfere with the pricing. I leave it to the right people and don’t tell them anything now. So for ‘Tubelight’, it will be the usual prices that we have for all other Bollywood films.”

‘Tubelight’ also stars Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The movie which is directed by Kabir Khan will be releasing on June 23, 2017.
