Salman Khan’s Ready Co-Star Pravina Deshpande Passes Away At 60 After Prolonged Battle With Blood Cancer

Veteran actress Pravina Deshpande, renowned for her supporting role in Salman Khan’s film Ready, passes away on Tuesday after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. She also appeared in notable Hindi films, including Ek Villain.

Her family confirmed her demise through a statement shared on her official Instagram account. It read, “It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that Mrs. Pravina Deshpande left for her heavenly abode on 17th February 2026.”

Following the announcement, the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) also expressed their condolences. In a post on its X platform, the organisation stated, “CINTAA extends its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Pravina Deshpande ji (member since 2008).”

About Pravina Deshpande’s Bollywood Career

Pravina Deshpande’s career spanned several decades. She made significant contributions to Hindi and Marathi cinema, television, theatre, and digital media. She was widely appreciated for her performance in Ready, where she shared the screen with Salman Khan.

Her filmography includes popular titles like Ek Villain, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, and Jalebi. In Ek Villain, she starred alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor. Parmanu featured John Abraham in the lead role. Jalebi starred Rhea Chakraborty and Varun Mitra.

On television, Pravina became a familiar face through acclaimed serials such as Ghar Ek Mandir, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Karam Apnaa Apnaa, and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala. Her performances in family dramas and daily soaps earned her widespread admiration among TV audiences. In recent years, she also ventured into digital platforms.
