Sonu Sood has been in the news since few days for his noble and selfless act of sending the migrant workers back to their homes amid the coronavirus pandemic. He has sent the migrants not only by buses but also arranged trains and flights for them. Sonu has been hailed by the people all across the nation and people are calling him the ‘real hero’ of the country.

But Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut seems to be not so happy of what Sonu is doing. On Sunday in an article in Saamana, he slammed Sonu over his work of helping migrant workers in Mumbai amid the lockdown. Sanjay Raut wrote that a new “Mahatma” named Sonu Sood has come all of a sudden in this lockdown. He wrote, “Recently, 177 girls from Odisha were stuck in Kerala’s Ernakulam. Sood flew them to Bhubaneshwar through a special plane. Will Sood be able to do this without the backing of political and administrative machinery?”

“I read that Sood was sending 1000 people to their homes in UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal. UP CM Yogi Maharaj was not ready to take anyone in the state without a COVID-19 negative certificate. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was asking not to send them home, then where did these workers reach? How come so many buses were arranged? It was like Sood was running a parallel government and he was getting whatever he wanted,” read the article.

He also wrote that very soon Sonu’s name will come up in PM Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’, “then he will go to Delhi to meet PM Modi, and one day, he will appear as BJP’s star campaigner in Mumbai, UP, Bihar, Delhi.”

Raut further wrote that “huge machinery was put in place for the campaign to show that the state government was not doing anything and Sood was doing.”

Sonu is yet to respond on the allegations of Sanjay Raut.
