Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Rawal are set to star in a new romantic thriller, tentatively titled Sundar Poonam. Directed by Pulkit, who is known for Bhakshak and Maalik, the film is reportedly inspired by true events.

As reported by Variety India, the film will showcase both actors in roles unlike any they’ve previously played. The movie is scheduled to begin filming in mid-April, with scenes shot across multiple locations, including Kashmir, Mumbai, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment is producing the project.
Aditya Rawal’s third consecutive collaboration with Malhotra follows his impressive performances in Daldal and Subedaar. Sources reveal he will portray a wild character in this film and has already begun preparations.
For Sanya, this is her second project with the studio after Shakuntala Devi (2020). She also has upcoming releases, including David Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar, set for theatrical release this year.
Vikram Malhotra’s Upcoming Projects
Upcoming Projects from Abundantia Entertainment include two Netflix series—Family Business, starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma, and Maa Behen, featuring Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. The studio is also developing an AI-based feature, Chiranjeevi Hanuman: The Eternal, set for theatrical release in 2027.
