Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan were rumoured to be dating, ahead of the release of their movie titled Love Aaj Kal. The actors featured in the Imtiaz Ali directorial and their onscreen chemistry was well-appreciated by the audience. Way before that, Sara Ali Khan had made her first appearance on Koffee with Karan with her father, Saif Ali Khan and she admitted having a crush on Kartik.

Ahead of the premiere of Koffee with Karan 7, Karan Johar confirmed that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan ‘started dating’ after she mentioned him on the couch. The filmmaker was talking about manifestations and the Koffee couch, when he opened up about the Love Aaj Kal stars. Karan Johar spoke about the magic of his couch and how he manifested several relationships in the Hindi film industry, while speaking with IndiaToday.

The Koffee with Karan 7 host said, “Sara (Ali Khan) mentioned Kartik (Aaryan) and they started dating.”

He also opened up about how he asked Kriti Sanon to take a name on the couch. The filmmaker said, “I call this couch the couch of manifestation. I was like telling Kriti (Sanon) the other day, I said just say a name! Because Katrina on this couch said that she thought she would look good with Vicky, then Vicky collapsed and then the next thing we know is that they are married.

Meanwhile, Sara made her Koffee with Karan debut in the sixth season. She appeared with her father Saif Ali Khan on the fifth episode. Back then, the actress had mentioned she has a crush on Kartik. Later, Kartik made his appearance in the 17th episode of the show, with Kriti Sanon. During the episode, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor made a call to Sara first, during a game segment. KJo even asked Kartik when he is planning to take Sara on a date, to which he replied and said ‘I’m earning money’ because Saif said that if he has money, he can date his daughter.
