Actress Sara Ali Khan is very close to her grandmother actress Sharmila Tagore. She often shares posts with her dadi on social media. Recently, Sharmila has announced her comeback to the big screen with Gulmohar which will also star Manoj Bajpayee, Suraj Sharma, Amol Palekar and Simran Bagga in pivotal roles. She is making the comeback in acting after 11 long years. Sara is very much excited about her ‘badi amma’s comeback. The Love Aaj Kal actress has penned a special post for her grandmom.

Sara took to her Instagram story and posted a picture of Sharmila Tagore posing with the team of Gulmohar. She wrote, “Badi Amma is back on screen. To watch her I’m truly keen. She will be the epitome of brilliance and grace I have yakeen”.

Talking about Gulmohar, it is directed by Rahul Chittella and is slated to release in August 2022 on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. She was last seen in the 2010 romantic-comedy Break Ke Baad starring Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan.

Coming back to Sara, on the work front, the actress was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re with Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. The 26-year-old has completed the shooting of Laxman Utekar’s yet-to-be titled film with Vicky Kaushal. Today, on Vicky’s birthday, Sara wished him ‘peace and happiness’ as she shared a collage of BTS pictures with the actor. She will also be seen in Pavan Kripalani’s directorial Gaslight which also stars Chitrangada Singh and Vikrant Massey.
