Sara Ali Khan Recalls How She Had ‘Shut Down’ After Dad Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing Incident, Says, “Didn’t Know What…”

Saif Ali Khan had got atacked by 6 intruders on January 16, at his house in Mumbai. The actor suffered a major injury as a knife was stabbed near his spine and he was rushed to hospital. While the actor is now recuperating, his family is still shocked and concerned over the incident. In a recent interview, Sara Ali Khan shares how she went numb after the stabbing incident on dad Saif.

In a recent interaction with Times Now, Sara recalled the time and said, “I shut down. I don’t remember much—it was a freeze impulse.” She added, “I didn’t know what was happening. We were lucky that it wasn’t critical. From the hospital to getting updates, those 15-20 minutes felt like a lifetime. But I was relieved very fast”.

However, Sara mentioned that she was relieved when she saw her father coming out of the hospital smiling. “That’s just who he is. It’s a combination of his nature and his role as a father. As a father of four, with two small children, he had to show that he was okay. He has always been a fighter, and I look up to him for never giving up. That’s the nature of our job—sometimes, you have to put on a brave face and say, ‘I’m fine’,” she added.

After the incident, Kareena Kapoor issued an official statement updating on actor’s condition and since then she has even urged paparazzi to not click sons Taimur and Jeh. Saif made his first public appearance at the launch of his OTT film Jewel Thief. Though he had bandages, he posed for paps and interacted with media.
