As reported earlier, John Abraham was gearing up to replace Aamir Khan in the sequel of 1999’s hit film ‘Sarfarosh’. The actor had also revealed last year that he is co-producing the film with John Mathew. At that point, they were working on the script and the film was scheduled to go on floors early this year. Now, it looks like things didn’t work out well between the action star and the director of the film.

In a recent conversation, director John Matthew told Mid Day, “I never confirmed that John is doing my film, nor did I mention any other actor’s name to the media. I am not aware of what he has said. We were in negotiation, but, as of now, nothing has materialised. I am currently giving the finishing touches to the script. Only once we sign someone will I be able to comment on the casting.”

Reportedly, John’s spokesperson has also confirmed the news of him not doing the film. And the reason being the budget of the film.
