On October 25, fans were left heartbroken as news of veteran actor Satish Shah – one of India’s most beloved comedy stars, passing away made the headlines. After a tearful farewell on Sunday, October 26, a prayer meet was held in the city last evening and saw many celebs from Bollywood and the TV industry in attendance.
Snapped at the emotional get-together was the cast of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai – including Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, Jamnadas Majethia and Deven Bhojani, as well as Sonu Nigam, David Dhawan and many more. Glimpses of the prayer service have made its way online, including a video of Nigam singing Tere Mere Sapne with Shah’s wife Madhu. Sonu Nigam Sings Satish Shah’s Favourite Song With Madhu
As seen in the viral video, Satish Shah’s ailing wife, Madhu, attended the prayer service despite her own health challenges. While there, she paid tribute to her late husband by joining singer Sonu Nigam in an emotional rendition of the classic song Tere Mere Sapne. As per reports, the song was a favourite of the late actor.
The event, attended by Shah’s family and friends, focused on celebrating his life and preferences, with music chosen to reflect his personality. The musical tribute led by Nigam saw Madhu softly humming along before joining in, marking an emotional moment for those in attendance.
According to Shah’s manager, Ramesh Kadatala, the veterana ctor passed away around lunchtime. Kadatala was quoted saying, “He was eating lunch and collapsed after having one bite. The ambulance arrived after half an hour, and we took him to the hospital, and he was declared dead.”
