To celebrate 30 years of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), the makers have planned to unveil a bronze statue of the duo at London’s Leicester Square. According to the YRF’s team, the DDLJ statue unveiling was scheduled for spring this year. However, it has now been postponed sue to current military tensions.

An industry source revealed, “In keeping with the current situation and to express solidarity with the nation and its brave army, the DDLJ statue launch has been postponed to a later time and date.” For those unversed, The DDLJ statue will join the iconic Scenes in the Square movie trail, according to a statement by the Heart of London Business Alliance. The statue will be installed on the eastern terrace outside the Odeon cinema, capturing the film’s iconic pose. The statue will stand tall alongside beloved cinematic figures such as Harry Potter, Laurel & Hardy, Bugs Bunny, Gene Kelly from Singin’ in the Rain, Mary Poppins, Mr Bean, Paddington, and DC superheroes Batman and Wonder Woman.
