Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ is making waves everywhere. And the certain reason is Shah Rukh Khan, who has delivered a spectacular performance once again. ‘Raees’ has him as a local liquor Barron; not an avatar he frequently gets into!

It is probably a mere co-incidence that all of his last three releases (Raees’ , ‘Dear Zindagi’  and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ where he played a cameo) had him playing Muslim characters. However, co-incidences get noticed too! We heard people discussing the same.

This morning, in an editorial piece that he wrote for a leading daily, SRK answered the curiosity.

“You may write a piece from the point of view that I am doing three back-to-back Muslim characters. With due respect to my professionalism as an actor, I did not even know what my name was in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

I just went for two hours, did some shots and had fun with my friends, Karan, Ranbir (Kapoor) and Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan). I wrapped up around 2 am and partied till 6 am before flying back to Lisbon,” he wrote.

This will hopefully sum it all. What matters is the gravity and intensity of a character played on-screen, not its religion!

P.S. Shah Rukh Khan’s name was Tahir Taliyar Khan in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. *Winks*
