Mahira made her Bollywood debut with Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Raees’ in 2017. Her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan was widely applauded. Mahira was not able to attend the promotion for ‘Raees’ due to the Uri attack of 2016 that caused strained ties. Later, there was a ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood, talking about it in an event of The News International, “I don’t think that we will solve anything by retaliating, and I think things won’t work by doing tit for tat.”
