The 71st National Film Awards turned out to be a memorable evening for Bollywood, especially for Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Karan Johar. Held on September 24 in New Delhi, the prestigious ceremony honoured the trio for their outstanding contributions to cinema.

Shah Rukh Khan won his first-ever National Film Award for Best Actor for his powerful role in Jawan. Rani Mukerji received the Best Actress Award for her emotional performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was awarded Most Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

After the event, a candid photo of the three stars enjoying dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan went viral on social media, shared widely by fans and fan clubs. Karan Johar took to Instagram to express his emotions. He wrote, “So humbled and honoured to win… So emotional to win in the same year as Rani and Bhai @iamsrk (missed taking a photo with him)… Karan Johar, this side and I am fragile today… thanks to the love and recognition.”

During the ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, President Droupadi Murmu presented the Rajat Kamal award to Shah Rukh. Later, his children, Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan, shared a heartwarming message online. Posting a selfie with their dad, they wrote, “You always said you never win the silver, only lose the gold, but this Silver is Gold. Our hearts are so happy seeing you receive the prestigious National Award. Congratulations, Papa. We love you.”

It was truly a night to remember, one filled with pride, emotions, and well-deserved recognition for three of Bollywood’s most beloved figures.
