Shah Rukh Khan to skip hosting Diwali party at Mannat this year

The festive season is upon us and it means the celebrations across the nation are in full swing. One of the biggest attractions during this time are the Bollywood Diwali parties, and recently, Ayushmann Khurrana and wife Tahira Kashyap set the ball rolling for it as they organised the first star-studded Bollywood Diwali bash for the season. Attended by A-listers like Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, Taapsee Pannu, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and many more, the night was a starry affair, and now the whole industry has got into the celebratory zone. There are some famous Diwali bashes that happen almost every year, that people look forward to, but seems like Shah Rukh Khan will be skipping playing a host this time.

Shah Rukh Khan is known for hosting some star-studded and fun Diwali bashes at his house Mannat, but this year he won’t be doing that. The Badshah and his wife Gauri Khan have been gracious hosts quite a few times during this festive period every year, but currently, the actor is quite busy with work and won’t be turning a host in 2022. His manager Pooja Dadlani confirmed to Hindustan Times that there is no Diwali party being hosted at Mannat.

It has been a while since Shah Rukh graced the big screen with a full length role in a feature film. His last release was the 2018 film Zero, after which he took a break. This year, he appeared in three memorable cameos in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Laal Singh Chaddha and Brahmastra, and next year, he is coming back with a bang with 3 releases spread across the year. He will start 2023 with Pathaan opposite Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, followed by Atlee’s Jawan in June and then he will end the year with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. In between, he will also have a cameo again in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.
