The WAVES Summit is a first-of-its-kind event where filmmakers and actors from across the country will be given a chance to shed spotlight on Indian Entertainment industry. The inaugral ceremony is taking place today and the summit will kickstart with gracious presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit was kickstart by none other than Shah Rukh Khan who left the crowd cheering as he welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other guests at the event with folded hands.

Shah Rukh Khan welcomes the dignitaries at the Waves Summit 2025. “Very special welcome to our distinguished guests, the honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, the honourable Governor of Maharashtra CP Radhakrishnan, the honorable CM of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis,” he said.In no time, the crowd went berserk and started cheering for the actor.

Apart from SRK, several other veteran stars have graced the summit with their presence. Hema Malini, Chiranjeevi, Mithun Chakraborty, Mohanlal, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar posed for a picture. Apart from them, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor have also attended the summit.

For those unversed, The biggest entertainment event of the year, WAVES 2025, kicks off on Thursday in Mumbai. This is the inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit hosted by Government of India. It aims to spotlight the media and entertainment industry of the country. The event will go on for four days, from May 1-4.

The actor ruled 2023 with three back-to-back releases Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. He will next collaborate with Siddharth Anand again for actioner King. The film also starts his daughter Suhana Khan. Talking about other cast, Abhishek Bachchan has confirmed being the antagonist. While Deepika Padukone has been roped in for female lead.
