Shah Rukh Khan to play Major Dhyan Chand

Bollywood is on a biopic spree, we had a biopic on Olympian Milkha Singh ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. It received overwhelming response. Now we have Priyanka Chopra playing the role of Olympian boxer Mary Kom which will hit theaters on September 5. Apparently now Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of legendary Hockey player Dhyan Chand.

According to sources, Abhishek Bachchan who is working with King Khan in Happy New Year, has expressed that he would love to watch SRK playing Hockey on the big screen. He said that, “A sportsman whose life will be fantastic on screen is Major Dhyan Chand. It will be an unbelievable story. These are the stories that need to be told. I told Shah Rukh Khan to make a film on it and play the protagonist, because he looks a lot like him.”

Sources further added that, certain filmmakers are working on the biopic of Major Dhyan Chand and Shah Rukh Khan was also approached for the role. Nothing is official as yet though.

Hope to see Shahrukh Khan playing the epic role of Dhyan Chand on big screen soon.
