After a lot of anticipation, YRF has now dropped the much-awaited Shamshera teaser starring actors Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor, just ahead of its trailer release. The teaser gives us glimpses of Ranbir as a dacoit and Sanjay Dutt as an officer which look quite intriguing. The teaser showcases Sanjay’s character oppressing the people of the village, enters Ranbir Kapoor aka Shamshera who strives to save his tribe from his atrocious act.

Ranbir Kapoor as Shamshera, a dacoit looks strikingly lethal with his rugged look. It sort of will pique your interest to see Ranbir in a never-seen-before avatar. Coming to Sanjay, we have seen his menacing nature before and we wonder what new he has to offer to the audience. Though the plot of the film is not revealed much, (of course, the whole point of the teaser) it is quite established that there’s some tension between two alpha males. Ranbir is seemed to be projected as the messiah of the tribe who is revolting against Sanjay’s terror. On the other hand, Vaani Kapoor seems to be missing from the teaser.

Interestingly, the teaser has a strong undertone touch of the KGF films. Furthermore, the long shots of the film also reminded us a lot of YRF’s previously released film, Samrat Prithviraj. Nevertheless, Shamshera’s teaser is well executed by the director of the film, Karan Malhotra who had previously helmed Brothers and Agneepath.
