Sidharth Malhotra is super excited to present his labour of love, Shershaah, to the audience on August 12. The actor has literally given his sweat and blood to this film and has left no stone unturned to step into the shoes of Capt. Vikram Batra. From his physical transformation to getting into the right mindset to portray the role of Paramvir Chakra winner, Sidharth has done it all very impressively.

Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Shershaah traces the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra. It will also chronicle how Vikram bravely rescued a fellow officer during the Kargil War in June 1999 in the Dras sub-sector.

Sidharth Malhotra has been associated with Capt. Vikram Batra’s story right from the beginning. He met up with Captain Batra’s family, including his twin brother Vishal Batra before filming as a part of his prep. In fact, they were the ones who approached him to play the part of their son. Yes, Sidharth will be seen essaying the role of both Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal.

Now, that the film is nearing its release – looking at the trailer and songs we can’t help but notice the unreal resemblance between Sidharth and Vikram Batra. Staying true to the film and the war hero’s story, the actor transformed into his world with his hard work and perseverance leaving the audiences shocked.

Also starring Kiara Advani, Shershaah is co-produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainments. It will release on Amazon Prime Video on August 12, ahead of Independence Day weekend.

Apart from Sidharth and Kiara, the film also features Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar, and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles.
