About Eetha

Shraddha Kapoor reportedly started shooting for Eetha in November 2025. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film marks her first collaboration with the filmmaker. Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is producing the project. Buzz around the film first gained momentum after a photo of the clapboard carrying the title Eetha surfaced online and quickly went viral among fans.

The film centres on the life of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, one of the most celebrated names in Marathi folk theatre. Known for her immense contribution to Tamasha, Vithabai earned respect for preserving and popularising the traditional performance art form that combines storytelling, music, and dance. Her journey reflected both artistic brilliance and personal struggles, making her story deeply inspiring.

Eetha is also expected to showcase Shraddha Kapoor in one of her most performance-oriented roles so far. The actor has recently become selective with projects, often choosing scripts that offer emotionally layered and unconventional characters.

Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank in 2024 was Shraddha’s last big screen outing. Despite not having a theatrical release this year yet, she continues to maintain strong visibility through her social media presence and fan engagement.

In conclusion, with filming now reportedly complete, Eetha has already generated significant curiosity among audiences. Backed by a powerful real-life story and Shraddha Kapoor’s transformation into Vithabai Narayangaonkar, the film is shaping up to be one of the actor’s most ambitious projects yet.
