Say What! Sidharth Malhotra is a dedicated Shiva bhakt in ‘Jabariya Jodi’

Sidharth Malhotra’s avatar in ‘Jabariya Jodi’ is one that we have never seen him before in. He portrays the role of a ‘Bihari Boy’ and his business is groom kidnapping. The actor is shown to be a dedicated devotee of Lord Shiva as seen in various parts of the trailer. He dons a Shiva tattoo which is clearly visible on his right arm. We also see him smoking a ‘chillum’ on multiple occasions. He is even playing a ‘damru’ which is known as the musical instrument of Shiva.

Sidharth Malhotra has worked hard to get into the character of Abhay Singh for ‘Jabariya Jodi’. He interacted with people who are actually in the business of groom kidnapping. He studied the behavior of Bihari people and learnt their accent.

Shot at real locations, ‘Jabariya Jodi’ also boasts of a stellar ensemble cast featuring performers like Aparshakti Khurana, Sanjay Mishra, Jaaved Jaaferi, Neeraj Sood, Gopal Dutt and Chandan Roy Sanyal. The film releases on August 2. It will clash at the ticket windows with Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’.
