Soha Ali Khan Recalls Freezing During 2011 Home Robbery Attempt While Kunal Kemmu Fought The Intruder: “ I Stood In The Corner And Cried”

Years before the shocking attack on Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai home in 2025, his sister Soha Ali Khan had also experienced a frightening burglary attempt at her residence. The actress recently revisited the incident from 2011 and revealed how an intruder entered her bedroom in the middle of the night, leaving her terrified. She also recalled how Kunal Kemmu confronted and caught the thief despite having an injury at the time.

Speaking during a conversation with Yuvaa, Soha candidly admitted that she froze during the incident while Kunal took charge of the situation. “When our house was broken into, and Kunal caught the thief many years ago, I stood in the corner and cried. It wasn’t my finest moment. I want to be kind to myself by saying that it was in the middle of the night and I wasn’t prepared, but I definitely could’ve been more useful. I’m probably not the bravest person. My system tends to shut down when there’s something happening. I am working on it,” she shared.

The actor also jokingly called herself a “phattu (coward)” while reflecting on how she reacted during the frightening moment. Reports from the time stated that the intruder had entered the couple’s home at around 4 am, after which Kunal physically confronted and caught the thief, even though his hand was reportedly in a cast.

During the same interaction, Soha Ali Khan also opened up about her family dynamics and shared lighter moments from her personal life. Talking about fashion advice, she revealed that daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, has recently become her unofficial stylist. She also joked that Kunal constantly gives her fashion suggestions even when she does not ask for them.

Speaking about relationship advice, Soha shared that she often turns to her brother Saif Ali Khan for a male perspective. “I go to bhai (Saif) for relationship advice because I don’t have too many friends who are men anymore. So I feel like getting a male perspective, because he’s always, not on Kunal’s side, but speaks from that lens,” she said. She also described Saif as a calming influence during stressful parenting moments.

The actress further revealed that she goes to sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan whenever she wants gossip or random industry updates.“She doesn’t gossip, but she has the most irrelevant information about the people that you would not think cross her mind. But she is incredibly observant and must be on some pretty special WhatsApp group that I would love to join,” Soha added humorously.

The interview comes months after Saif Ali Khan survived a shocking robbery attempt at his Mumbai residence in January 2025. The actor reportedly suffered multiple stab injuries while trying to protect his family and later underwent surgery. The incident had sparked major security concerns around celebrity homes in Mumbai.

On the professional front, Soha Ali Khan was last seen in Chhorii 2 alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha. The horror drama is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Apart from acting, Soha has also been focusing on her podcast, All About Her.
