Last year, when the ‘Me Too’ movement hit the Indian shores, several renowned names were called out. Music-composer Anu Malik was also one of the accused, who was called out by singers like Alisha Chinai and Shweta Pandit. As soon as Malik’s name surfaced as an alleged sexual harasser, he was dropped as the judge of singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’.

Now almost a year after Anu Malik was dropped from the show, the latest buzz suggests that the channel is planning to bring back him as one of the judges of the singing reality show. Though the channel has not made any official announcement about the same, however, the reports state that Malik recently shot for a promo along with Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar.

Singer Sona Mohapatra, who has time and again lashed out at Anu Malik for his alleged ‘predatory behaviour’, once again slammed the channel for rehabilitating sexual harassment accused Malik by bringing him back on the show.

Taking to her Twitter handle Sona wrote, “The rehabilitation of the multiple accused @IndiaMeToo Anu Malik by @SonyTV on Indian Idol within a year as a judge is a slap to ALL the good people of #India who want a better & safer future for their children, let Alone women. #AnuMalik #RatReturnsToTheGutter & #SpreadingFilth”

In a series of tweets, Sona wrote about how our society supports sexual predators.

Sona also lashed out at singer and music composer Vishal Dadlani for working with Anu Malik. Earlier, Dadlani, in one of his tweets, had criticised PM Narendra Modi for ‘turning the pain of Indian women & girls into propaganda’.

In her tweet, targeting Dadlani, Sona wrote, “Since U do care about the pain of Indian women & girls, Vishal, take a real stand, stand up & walk your talk. Multiple women spoke up about Anu Malik in @IndiaMeToo & some were minors during the incident. No amount of money or fame is worth this.”

Let’s see what Vishal Dadlani has to say about this now.
