During the #MeToo movement that hit Bollywood last year, several actresses alongside Tanushree Dutta called out several established celebrities by sharing their #MeToo stories. Sona too accused Anu Malik of harassment. However, recently it was reported that the music composer would be making his comeback on the small screen as one of the judges on the singing reality show for kids.

Apart from Sona, singers Shweta Pandit and Alisha Chinai too had accused Malik of sexual and mental harassment.
