Actress Sonam Kapoor who has around three movies in her kitty has just confirmed about her fourth project. She will be seen in the adaptation of author Anuja Chauhan’s chic-lit titled ‘The Zoya Factor’. For the past two years, speculations were rife that she would be a part of the project but there was no confirmation on the same. Now, she has confirmed that she is indeed a part of the movie which will be directed by Abhishek Sharma, of ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame.

Sonam revealed about it at the second edition of MAMI Word to Screen Market. She said, “I have sought permission to talk about this because there has been speculation about the films I am doing. So, I am doing ‘The Zoya Factor’, which is based on the book by Anuja Chauhan. And it has not been bought by my dad. It has been bought by Adlabs. It will be directed by Abhishek Sharma. The story of ‘ The Zoya Factor’ revolves around a girl named as Zoya Singh Solanki who works as an executive in an ad agency. She meets the Indian cricket team and becomes a lucky charm for them in the 2010 Cricket World Cup. However, the dishy captain of the team remains nonplussed. Whether they fall in love and whether or not India wins the World Cup, forms the rest of the story.

The actress has also bought the rights of a mythological novel ‘Govinda’. She said, “I have myself bought rights to this spectacular novel. It is a mythology. It is written by Krishna Udayshankar. I don’t know what I will play in it because of course, I can’t play Govinda even if I want. I have also bought the rights to the trilogy (Aryavarata Chronicles trilogy) and hopefully, one day I will make the film. There is so much potential in the stories of Indian mythology and that is where I invest my money, in content.”

So, apart from ‘The Zoya Factor’, her other movies are ‘padman’ with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt untitled biopic, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ with Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker.
