#9pm9minutes: Sonam Kapoor lashes out at people bursting crackers; expresses concern for stray animals

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘9 pm 9 minutes’ appeal, the entire nation came out and expressed their solidarity for this gesture which was aimed at dispelling the darkness spread by the outbreak of Coronavirus. However, there was a certain section of citizens who went out of their way to prove why they deserved to be called ‘Covidiots’.

Yes, while everyone was following PM’s ‘9 Pm-9 Minutes’ appeal, these ‘Covidiots’ went ahead and started bursting crackers. Irked by their irresponsibility, actress Sonam Kapoor lashed out at them as she expressed her concern for stray animals.

Lashing out at these people, Sonam took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “People are bursting crackers. Just FYI. The dogs are freaking out. Do people think it’s Diwali? I’m so confused.(sic)”

She further expressed her concern for stray animals by posting, “There was complete peace and quite, and now the birds ,dogs and sirens are freaking out in south Delhi because some morons decided to burst firecrackers tonight (sic).”

Well, owing to the lockdown, there was indeed peace and quiet so amidst that, if people suddenly start bursting crackers then it will definitely scare the stray animals.

Anyways, the instruction was to light candles or burn diyas, but some people surely don’t know how to curb their over-enthusiasm.
