‘Sonchiriya’: Bhumi Pednekar and Ranvir Shorey’s quirky invite to Chambal

Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Sonchiriya‘ is all set to release next month. The cast and crew of the film are now on a promotional spree and were seen promoting the film in a very interesting way on social media. Film’s production house RSVP shared two different videos featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Ranvir Shorey appealing all their fans and followers to visit Chambal.

One of the videos features Bhumi Pednekar holding a rifle and saying “Chambal ek perfect holiday destination hai. Gift kijiye kisi khas ko, jaise ki apni saas ko.” (Chambal is a perfect holiday destination. Gift it to your loved ones especially your mother-in-law)

The second video features Ranvir Shorey also holding a big rifle and the video says, “Dekhne ke liye yaha bahot kuch hai. Par kya aap dekh payenge?”(There’s a lot to explore here but will you be able to do so?)

The story of ‘Sonchiriya’ is set in the 1970s showcasing a small town ruled and dominated by dacoits. Multiple gangs fight over the struggle to attain power. The cast dons fierce avatars in sync with the rustic theme of the film. Featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey, and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles, the film presents tale set in the era of dacoits.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey the film is slated to release on March 1, 2019.
