The prominent businessman and polo enthusiast died unexpectedly during a polo match. Reports suggest that he suffered a heart attack, with some media speculating that a bee sting he accidentally ingested might have triggered suffocation, leading to his demise.

His father-in-law, Ashok Sachdev, told NDTV, “The postmortem is currently underway. Once the paperwork is complete, the body will be brought to India for the last rites.” The final rites are expected to be performed in Delhi once all procedural formalities are fulfilled.

Sunjay-Karisma Relationship

Sunjay Kapur served as the Chairman of Sona Comstar Ltd., a leading company in the auto components sector. He married Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple had two children—Samaira, born in 2005, and Kiaan, born in 2011. They separated in 2014, with their divorce finalised in 2016. After his separation from Karisma, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev, a model and entrepreneur. The two met in New York and tied the knot in a private ceremony in Delhi after five years of courtship. They have a son named Azarias Kapur.
