Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 is one of the highly anticipated sequels of this year. In every sense, the movie is about to continue the story of Tara Singh and Sakina from Gadar: Ek Prem Katha released in 2001. Previously the makers released the first song Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava which took us back to the time reliving the story of the characters. Now, the makers have released the second song Khairiyat from Gadar 2.
Gadar 2 song starring Khairiyat out now
On Tuesday, the makers of Gadar 2 dropped the latest song Khairiyat. The song gives us a deeper look into the film. The video unveils an ‘ode to family,’ showcasing Sunny Deol travelling on a bus roof to get his son Charanjeet, portrayed by Utkarsh Sharma. On the other hand, Ameesha prays with complete devotion, seeking the safety and well-being of her husband and son. Khairiyat also has glimpses of happy family moments from the previous part of Gadar 2.
Why their grown-up son Charanjeet is away from them? The answer to this is not yet known. It also might mean the plot of the movie will be surrounding this. The song also shows Utkarsh remembering his parents. Towards the end of the song, Sunny breaks down in tears in front of a grave. The lyrics of the song indicate how much the parents want to keep their children safe and always pray to God for their well-being.

Arijit Singh and Mithoon are the voice behind the soulful song Khairiyat. The song is composed, created and arranged by Mithoon. Sayeed Quadri has written the lyrics.
Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on 11 August 2023. In addition, the movie will be clashing with the Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2.
