The fake tweet falsely attributed to Swara read, “No matter how much you fake yourself to please some people, one day your real face will come in front of the whole world and you will face the consequences you deserve.”
What Happened At Oscars 2026 Involving Priyanka Chopra?
The controversy began when Priyanka Chopra, Javier Bardem took the stage at the Oscars 2026 while the actor was wearing a “No to War” badge to present the Best International Feature Film category. During his address, he said, “Say no to war and free Palestine.” Priyanka, standing next to him, appeared to nod but was perceived by many online as looking slightly “awkward.”
Soon after, clips of the moment went viral, with social media users dissecting her reaction frame by frame. The debate intensified as several users pointed out her role as a global ambassador for UNICEF, arguing that she should have made a clearer or more vocal statement given her global influence. While some criticised her, others defended her, calling the scrutiny excessive and unwarranted.
Amid the growing chatter, the fake tweet attributed to Swara Bhaskar further added fuel to the situation, prompting her to step in and clarify her stance.
