Sources close to the production have indicated that the story of Rani and Rishu will unfold in an even more thrilling, seductive, and chaotic manner. As an insider stated, “It is one of the most successful titles for the platform. So, the aim is to create a more fun, juicy, and thrilling third part.”

Speculation about a third film began several weeks prior when Taapsee posted a nostalgic clip from Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba with the playful caption: “Missing the pagalpan, Pandit ji. What say?” This was a direct address to the film’s writer, Kanika Dhillon. Kanika’s response was quite revealing, as she teased fans by saying, “The wait won’t last that long, Rani ji! Panditji is already onto the agli kitaab. Iss wali mein there is Pagalpan x 3.” This playful exchange ignited excitement on social media, with Taapsee further fueling the anticipation by adding: “Let’s ask the audience who gave us so much love… What twist are you expecting in the unexpected life of Rani this time?”
