tanushree dutta sapna pabbi sexual assault

When Tanushree Dutta opened up on the sexual assault she faced from veteran actress Nana Patekar 10 years ago on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’, it was sure that this will come as a ray of hope for more and more actresses to come out about the misleading instances they have faced in the industry and ultimately bring a better change.

And the next actress to join the league with Tanushree is Sapna Pabbi. Sapna, who is a well-known name in the industry circuit with films like ‘Khamoshiyan’ and Web series ’24’ to her credit, recently opened up about an incident that made her uncomfortable while shooting a particular project of hers.

In a long Instagram post, Sapna came out in support of Tanushree and shared an incident where she was backstabbed by a female colleague.

Her statement read, “As an actress I often experience what Tanushree has experienced on almost a daily basis. My voice silenced my words manipulated, twisted and used for the wrong reasons. I have had the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented females in all kinds of respective roles within the business.”

She further adds, “Sadly I have been disappointed with the way some of these women (and others within my working environment) have remained absent during such traumatic and difficult situations and were merely witnessing if not taking advantage themselves,” she added.

She remembered her unpleasant incident stating how she was once forced to wear an uncomfortable bikini for a song and dance sequence and when she complained to her stylist, she too threw her under the bus. “I then found out that the stylist herself thought I was being demanding and laughed about it with the male director and producer. I understand that she may have been scared to raise her voice as we all are at times; but she chose to ignore me and throw me under the bus instead,” she posted.
