Playing a cop or a soldier at least once in their career is on every actor’s wishlist. But not all of them get a chance to do so. After playing a Jhansi Ki Rani in ‘Manikarnika’, fiery actress Kangana Ranaut is now all set to play an Air Force pilot in her next film ‘Tejas’. Bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala, the film will be helmed by Sarvesh Mewara.

We have seen a lot of male actors don the Army uniform, but there have been a handful of actresses playing a similar role. Kangana is a power-house performer so watching her play a pilot will be a sheer delight. The actress too is more than happy for bagging this coveted project.

Sharing her excitement about ‘Tejas’, the ‘Queen’ actress told Mumbai Mirror, “I’ve always wanted to play a soldier and have been fascinated with the Armed Forces since childhood. I’ve never held back my emotions for our jawans and spoken openly about how strongly I feel about their heroism. They keep our country secure and our people safe. So, I’m very happy to be doing this film.” For this particular role, the actress found her inspiration in Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
