Ever since the teaser of The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond released a couple of weeks ago, there had been speculations around tight security being provided on the sets of the film. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has addressed concerns around safety and security on the sets of his upcoming film, stressing that the well-being of cast and crew remains the top priority at all times.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah On The Kerala Story 2 Shoot
Speaking about the precautions taken during production, Vipul Amrutlal Shah underlined that maintaining a secure working environment is non-negotiable, especially when handling sensitive subject matter. “Even when we shoot a commercial action film like Commando, there is always an ambulance and a doctor on set. So that is always the priority. In this film, particularly because it deals with a very sensitive topic, we have to provide extra security so at no point any crew member or artist is under any kind of threat,” he said.
Shah’s statement comes amid speculation about possible disruptions during filming. However, the filmmaker was quick to dismiss such reports, clarifying that the shoot has proceeded without any major issues. According to him, the production environment has remained calm and well-managed throughout.
He did acknowledge that there were challenges during the release of the first installment of the franchise, when the team received threats. Despite that experience, Vipul Amrutlal Shah expressed confidence that history is unlikely to repeat itself. “The shoot has been pretty peaceful. Yes, we did receive some threats at the time of part one, but to be very honest, I am not expecting that to be repeated this time,” he stated.
Following the massive impact of The Kerala Story, which shook audiences nationwide with its bold narrative, the sequel promises to push boundaries even further, going beyond comfort, beyond silence, and beyond denial. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner Sunshine Pictures. The film is slated to release in cinemas on 27th February, 2026.
