Tokyo Olympics 2020: Mirabai Chanu bags silver medal; Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor celebrate

Indian Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has made the entire nation super proud with her terrific performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020. Mirabai has created history by bagging silver medal in the Women’s 49kg category at Tokyo International Forum and thereby ending Indiaโ€™s 21-year wait. She also became the first athlete to bag a medal for India in the ongoing Olympics. Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Farhan Akhtar, Dia Mirza and several other celebs showered the weightlifter with love and congratulated on her big win.

Congratulating Mirabai Chanu, Toofan actor Farhan Akhtar wrote, “Congratulations #MirabaiChanu .. ๐Ÿฅˆ#TokyoOlympics2021 #Weightlifting.”

The Tokyo Olympics 2020 games will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
