Tokyo Olympics 2020: PV Sindhu wins Bronze Medal; Taapsee Pannu, Deepika Padukone, Dia Mirza congratulate the shuttler

On Sunday, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win two individual medals at the Olympics. Sindhu defeated China’s He Bingjiao in the badminton women’s singles to win the Bronze Medal in the ongoing Tokyo Games. After Mirabai Chanu, Sindhu became the second Indian athlete to win a medal in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The entire nation is elated as PV Sindhu is bringing medal home. B-town celebs flooded the social media with congratulatory messages for the Indian shuttler. Taapsee Pannu, lead Bollywood, in congratulating and applauding Sindhu’s effort and hard work.

Expressing her joy over Sindhu’s big win, birthday girl Taapsee Pannu tweeted, “Our girl is getting home the bronze!!!She did it!!One color at a time I say!Come on champ @Pvsindhu1. This calls for a celebration!!!You are one of a kind, let’s celebrate You!”

Deepika Padukone took to her Insta stories to celebrate the Sindhu’s win.
