The Mumbai red carpet for Umrao Jaan was a star-studded affair. Embracing Rekha’s eternal elegance and Indian artisanal beauty, Manish Malhotra designed an exquisite organza chikankari and badla kurta. It was paired with a shimmering gold tissue lehenga and a Banarasi dupatta woven with gold and silver zari.

The highlight was Rekha twirling gracefully on the red carpet, captivating paparazzi. The intricate shimmer of the gold and silver patterns amplified the opulence of her look. It stood as a tribute to heritage and grandeur. It paid a homage to her iconic role in Umrao Jaan, directed by Muzaffar Ali.
