US Ambassador Shah RUkh Khan

This morning we got the news that Shah Rukh Khan was detained at the Los Angeles airport. SRK had posted about it on Twitter. This was the second time when the actor faced the issue in the US. So, the U.S. Ambassador of India tweeted and said sorry to the ‘Fan’ star.

Rich Verma, the US Ambassador of India, tweeted, “Sorry for the trouble at LAX @iamsrk. We are working to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Your work inspires millions, including in the US.”

SRK quote retweeted him and wrote, “No trouble sir, respect the protocol & not expecting 2 b above it. It’s just a tad inconvenient. Thx for ur concern.”

Nisha Biswal, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, U.S. Department of State, also apologised to SRK. She tweeted, “Sorry for the hassle at the airport, @iamsrk – even American diplomats get pulled for extra screening!”

To which the 50-year-old actor replied, “No hassle ma’m.Respect the protocol,not expecting to b above it. Appreciate ur graciousness, its just inconvenient.”
