Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is happy with the response to his recent release Bhediya. The movie has been receiving positive responses from the audience. Bhediya had faced stiff competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 but both of them were full of praise for each other’s films. Now Varun has opened up on the special bond he shares with the Singham star and also called him a Rockstar.
In an interview with Indian Express Varun Dhawan opened up on the bond he shares with Ajay Devgn and said that he has always admired Devgn and has been in awe of how he takes success and failures in his stride. He further stated that Ajay Devgn was the first person to call him when his film flopped.
Calling him the ‘MS Dhoni of actors,’ Varun said Ajay is so encouraging to youngsters. “I have to say this about him when I had a string of hits and one film didn’t work, he was the first person to call me up and asked how am I doing. I told him this is the first time (my film has not worked) and he told me, ‘It doesn’t matter, people love you, you are here to stay. It is part and parcel, keep moving on.’ He is an actor I really admire.”
Speaking about Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer horror comedy Bhediya’. It is Dinesh Vijan’s third film in his popular horror-comedy franchise after ‘Stree’ and ‘Roohi’. The Amar Kaushik directorial also had a cameo by Shraddha Kapoor that left fans quite excited.
On the other hand, Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 is a remake of a Malayalam film featuring superstar Mohanlal. The movie also features Shriya Saran, Tabu, Ishita Dutta, and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles and has been on a minting spree at the box office.
