Birthday boy Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have a life altering experience while trekking in Bhutan

Virat Kohli has ringed in his birthday today. The Indian cricket team captain turned 31 today and looks like he is spending his day with his wifey, Anushka Sharma. The two have been spending some time together in Bhutan, living close to nature, as Anushka says that the couple loves simple and pure human connection. The two had a very lovely experience during the trek and Anushka took to social media to share that experience with her fans.

Anushka took to her Instagram to share some amazing snaps from their time in Bhutan. In the pictures, Anushka and Virat are seen sitting with some villagers all smiles and happy to be there. In another, they are seen in the middle of a vast field with mountains till as far as the eye can see. Also, Anushka is seen feeding a baby calf that she explained is the reason why they stopped on their uphill trek.

Along with the pictures, Anushka left a lengthy note in the caption as she wrote that, the couple was on an 8.5 km uphill trek during which they stopped by a small village on a mountain to pet and feed a baby calf who was born just 4 months ago. Then, the owner of the house invited them in for tea. “So we went into the home of this beautiful and warm family who had absolutely no idea who we were and yet they treated us with such warmth and love. We spent some time with them chatting and drinking tea and the whole time they just know us as two tired trekkers (sic),” she wrote. Check out the post right here:

Celebrating his birthday, Virat too took to Twitter to share a special note. He wrote, “My journey and life’s lessons explained to a 15-year old me. Well, I tried my best writing this down. Do give it a read. #NoteToSelf (sic).”
