In an interview with HT City, Mane, 34, shared details of his allegations, saying, “I was at the wedding celebrations in November 2025 when I saw him caught red-handed in bed with another woman. It was a shocking scene; he was beaten up by Indian female cricketers. The entire family is dishonest. I thought he would settle down in Sangli after marriage, but everything has backfired.” He mentioned that he is a childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana and was introduced to Palaash through the Mandhana family.

Mane further revealed, “When I met his mother, Amita Muchhal, last month, she told me the budget to release the movie has increased to Rs 1.5 crore. They pressured me to invest an additional Rs 10 lakh or else I wouldn’t get my money back. They started blackmailing me and threatened to exclude me from the film, which forced me to file a complaint.”

Vidnyan Claims Palaash Never Responded To Him

He also claimed that despite multiple attempts to contact Palaash, he has received no response. “After the wedding was called off, the family blocked me from all channels. I also found out that other artists involved in the project hadn’t received their payments. I’ve heard of directors cheating producers, but this feels like outright theft,” Mane said.

Regarding his next steps, Mane stated he intends to expose what he calls the true nature of the Muchhal family. “I have preserved all proofs, including chats and phone recordings, which I am ready to share with the police and media,” he concluded.

Palaash Muchhal’s Lawyer Reacts To Rs 40 Lakh Cheating Allegations

Palaash Muchhal’s lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, responded to the allegations, saying, “He (Vidnyan Mane) claims he paid us money, but there’s no proof whether it was via cheque or bank transfer. As for the allegations about Palaash being caught with another woman — what evidence does he have? We don’t even know this person; we met him through Smriti’s father, Shrinivas. We have no direct connection with him. Why did he remain silent for so long? It’s only after the marriage was called off that he’s come forward. Palaash is now exploring his legal options.”

What Actually Happened?

Palaash and Smriti Mandhana’s wedding, scheduled for November 23, 2025, was initially postponed due to health emergencies within both families and was eventually called off in December 2025. Following speculation about infidelity, both parties issued statements confirming that the marriage would not take place. Smriti stated she needed to “clarify that the wedding is called off” and requested privacy, while Palaash expressed his desire to move on, saying, “It’s been very difficult to see baseless rumors about something so sacred. This is the hardest phase of my life, but I will face it with grace, holding onto my beliefs.”

Palaash has resumed working and his next film will be lead by Shreyas Talpade.
