Phillauri

Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’, although it initially raised a lot of curiosity, didn’t fare well at the box office and was at the receiving end of mostly mellowing down reviews. But Anushka’s role in the film will be remembered!

She, along with co-star Diljit Dosanjh, turned ghost for this partly periodic romantic comedy. Those who’ve watched the film would know, Anushka’s movements, as a ghost who is accidentally married to Kanan (Suraj Sharma), were largely executed with help of VFX.

Shah Rukh Khan, whose venture Red Chillies VFX made it possible, has taken to Twitter and shared a video with us. The six-odd minutes long video is a brief demonstration of how not just Anushka’s ghostly acts but many a locations shown in the film were aptly done through VFX. Apart from being an actor, Anushka was also the film’s producer. The film also launched ‘Life of Pi’ actor Suraj in Bollywood, apart from introducing Punjabi actress Mehreen Pirzada.

Anushka, on the professional front, will be next seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Aanand L Rai’s next. She is also working on her home production ‘Pari’, which stars Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee opposite her.
