Yo Yo Honey Singh Issues Apology For Viral Explicit Comment

During the performance at Nanku-Karun’s concert in Delhi, Singh encouraged the audience to engage in s*xual activity in their cars due to the cold weather. The statement quickly went viral and sparked backlash for its inappropriate language. In response, Singh shared a detailed explanation of his remarks.

In his Instagram video, Singh stated that his comment was aimed at addressing a public health issue affecting Indian youth. He said, “I was just a guest on the show, and about two days before the concert, I had lunch with some gynecologists and sexologists. They told me that many young people are suffering from s*xually transmitted diseases. I wanted to spread awareness.”

Singh elaborated that he wanted to promote safe sex practices among young adults. “I thought that since the Gen Z audience is exposed to OTT content and modern films, I should communicate this message in their language—telling them to use condoms and avoid unprotected s*x,” he explained.

Honey Singh Acknowledges The Criticism

Acknowledging the criticism over his choice of words, Singh admitted that his delivery was not well-received by everyone. “I thought that speaking in the language of OTT and modern media would help the message reach the youth more effectively. But many people found that language inappropriate. I apologise to those who were offended. I had no intention of insulting anyone,” he said.

He added, “Everyone makes mistakes, and I am no exception. I will try to be more careful with my language in the future, who I speak to, how I say things, and ensure my words are appropriate and not taken out of context. I apologise once again.”

Singh emphasised that he did not intend to offend or hurt anyone. He highlighted the importance of choosing words carefully, especially since social media spreads messages rapidly. He also reflected on the challenges artists face in communicating effectively across different age groups without offending.
