On Tuesday, a case was filed against the organisers of Yo Yo Honey Singh’s concert in Mumbai for using illegal laser lights. The incident occurred during Honey Singh’s performance at the MMRDA Grounds on March 28, where unauthorised laser lights were reportedly used. According to the FIR, authorities were officially informed that around 12,000 people would attend the event; however, the actual crowd was estimated to be between 18,000 and 20,000.
FIR Filed Against Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Mumbai Concert Organisers
Despite police restrictions, the promoters operated the laser lights near the airport zone, raising safety concerns. A case has been registered against Indrajit Singh, a representative of Tamannaz Worldwide, for this violation. The police highlighted that the larger-than-expected crowd posed significant security challenges. The illegal laser lights created potential hazards near the airport area.
This development follows a ruling by the Bombay High Court in September 2024. The verdict declined to ban laser lights in public spaces without scientific proof of their harmful effects. The court stated that police could take action if the lights were found to be dangerous.
