On Jan 1, 2018, Shah Rukh Khan had tweeted the teaser of the film, and along with it he had written, “टिकटें लिए बैठें हैं लोग मेरी ज़िंदगी की, तमाशा भी पूरा होना चाहिए! As promised, here’s the title of @aanandlrai ‘s film. @AnushkaSharma #KatrinaKaif @RedChilliesEnt @cypplOfficial #2ZERO18.”

The Hindi lines in the tweet are from a poem written by Mithelesh Baria, and he had not been credited for it. The writer came to know about it through his fans that SRK has used his lines. Talking about it to Mid-day, Baria said, “It appears that the line is a part of the film’s narrative, not a mere tweet. So, I hope they give me my due credit.”

However, Mithelesh has said that Aanand L Rai told him that it was a mistake and that it would be rectified. The poet said, “He assured me that it was a mistake, and he would do his best to rectify it. I am not sure how he will do so. Will Shah sa’ab put out another tweet crediting me? Rai-ji seemed like an affable man. I hope they are fair.”

Well, now Mithelesh doesn’t need to be upset as SRK took to Twitter to praise his book and also thanked him the his lines used for the tweet.

With SRK’s this tweet the controversy has now come to an end.
