The movie Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday witnessed a good opening at the box office in the collections of the Hindi version. The Puri Jagannadh directorial (Hindi version) was released in theatres on Friday, August 26, while the film was released in other languages on the previous day. Despite mixed reviews, the Hindi version of Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday witnessed a strong opening at the ticket counters.

The mass entertainer has earned ₹ 4.5 crores on Friday plus the paid previews on Thursday collected ₹ 1.25 crores. The way Dharma Productions positioned the film with its marketing and publicity is the main reason Liger made a promising opening further cementing Vijay Deverakonda’s position in the Hindi-speaking belt.

Going by the current trends, the Puri Jagannadh directorial is headed towards a good weekend total. The Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer is expected to rake a good collection during the weekends at the box office.

Talking about Liger, ahead of the release, the makers kick-started the promotions of the film. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday travelled across states and cities to promote their film and managed to receive immense love from fans all over. Ahead of the release of Liger, Ananya had shared a selfie of Vijay and herself. She shared the photo and mentioned that they travelled for 34 days, across 17 cities and took 20 flights to receive the love of fans and promote their movie.

Meanwhile, be it travelling in a local train to much more, Vijay and Ananya, along with the team of Dharma Productions promoted their film Liger in full swing, ahead of the release.

Liger features Vijay, Ananya, including Mike Tyson in a key role. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced under the banners Dharma Productions, and Puri Connects.

Bollywood Bubble gave the movie a rating of two and a half stars in its review.
