Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Pari’ took a decent start at the box office, but it failed to show a huge jump over the weekend. On the other hand, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ has collected more than ‘Pari’ in its second weekend.
Anushka Sharma-starrer has collected Rs 13.50 crore approx. in three days which is good, considering the promotional costs of the movie is close to nil. Also, the makers have already covered its budget with pre-release sales, so the theatrical collection will be a profit for the makers.
Talking about ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, the movie in its second weekend collected Rs 18.25 approx. taking the till date total to Rs 62 approx. It’s a superhit.
Looking at the collection of ‘Pari’, it is clear that Indian audiences are still not ready to accept a different kind of horror cinema, and they prefer horrex (horror-s*x) or horredy (horror-comedy, as in ‘Golmaal Again’).
