Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘PadMan’ was earlier slated to release on January 25, 2018. It was going to clash with ‘Padmaavat’, but to give a solo release to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial, Akki decided to postpone his film.

Well, ‘PadMan’ got a solo release too on February 9, 2018. While the film has done a good business, there were more expectations from it.

Akshay’s next release will be ‘Gold’ which will be hitting the screens on August 15, 2018. However, it looks like the movie won’t be getting a solo release. Reportedly, the makers of Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ are also planning to release the film on Independence Day.

Recently, when Akshay was asked about his movie clashing with Kangana’s film, the actor said, “I don’t believe in the word ‘clash’. There are going to be two-three movies coming together because there are 180 films and there are 52 weeks. You have to come together.”

When he was asked that in 90s there were four-five films coming together, but now even if just two films are releasing on the same day, it becomes a big deal, to which the actor said, “Earlier when business used to happen it used to continue for silver jubilee and golden jubilee, but now it is just four days of business, so that is why everybody wants to catch that three-four days.”

Well, we quite agree with what Akshay said. Now let’s wait and watch whether it will be Akshay vs Kangana at the box office or one of them will change their release date. (Also Read: PadMan: Men in some places aren’t allowing their wives to watch the film, says Akshay Kumar)
