Karan Johar is an Indian film producer, director, screenwriter, costume designer, television host and actor. Son of Hiroo Johar and late film producer Yash Johar, Karan, the head honcho of Dharma Productions, made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998. He later directed Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name Is Khan, all of which became blockbusters and starred Shah Rukh Khan. KJo also helmed Student Of The Year and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He became a subject of controversy on being called the “flagbearer of nepotism” by Kangana Ranaut on his show Koffee With Karan. The director became a single father to twins through surrogacy in 2017.
