Teary-eyed Meenaakshi Sheshadri bids goodbye to ‘Damini’ co-star Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan- watch video

Former actress Meenaakshi Sheshadri mourned the death of Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Teary-eyed Meenaakshi bid them goodbye by sharing a video message on her social media handle. Meenaakshi also reminisced how considerate her ‘Damini’ co-star Rishi was and how he would always bring out the best in her.

Film industry received the biggest blow due to the sudden demise of powerhouse performers Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. Condolences and tribute poured in for them from all over the world. Former actress Meenaakshi Sheshadri also paid her tribute to these actors by sharing a heart touching video on her Twitter handle.

In her video, the ‘Damini’ actress said, “It’s with a very heavy heart that I am talking to you today in memory of two fantastic actors the Bollywood industry – Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. We have lost both these great personalities just the last few days. It is a tremendous loss not just for the audiences and fans, but for the film industry itself.”

She further added, “We have lost such talented artists and such wonderful human beings. I have been fortunate to work with Shri Rishi Kapoor, in five films, especially the most famous – Damini. It was a wonderful experience working with him. He was a very considerate co-star, a great co-star brought the best in me. I will remember you Rishi ji always.”

Meenaakshi and Rishi have worked together in films like ‘Damini’, ‘Bade Ghar Ki Beti’, ‘Vijay’, ‘Sadhna’ and ‘Gharana’.

Rishi was diagnosed with Leukaemia and he breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital. Whereas Irrfan was undergoing treatment for a tumour. And he died due to a colon infection.
